Arcot Bhaskar, M.D.
Arcot Bhaskar, M.D. received his degree from Madras Medical College in India (1974) and spent the next two years in Internal Medicine at Sunderland General Hospital, Sunderland, England. In 1977 he moved to the United States for his Internal Medicine internship and residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, Bronx, New York (affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine, 1977-80). He served as Chief Resident from 1980-81 and then as a Fellow in Gastroenterology from 1981-83 also at Bronx Lebanon Hospital.
He entered private practice in 1983. His office is at 2055 Hospital Drive, Suite 325, Batavia, Ohio. He serves on the medical staff of Clermont Mercy Hospital and also has privileges at Anderson Mercy Hospital, Bethesda North Hospital, Jewish Hospital, and Christ Hospital. Dr. Bhaskar is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

Stephen L. Ionna, M.D.
Stephen L. Ionna, M.D. received his B.S. in biology from the University of Kentucky in 1979 and then spent two years doing graduate research in endocrinology at the University of Cincinnati. He received his M.D. from the University of Cincinnati in 1985. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1988. He completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Presbyterian University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in 1990, and then entered private practice.
His primary office is located at 6620 Clough Pike in Anderson Township. He also practices at the Norwood Professional Building at 4746 Montgomery Road, Suite 202. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Ionna enjoys all aspects of patient care, and he has a special interest in colon cancer, colon polyps, intestinal bleeding, abdominal pain, and biliary endoscopy (the removal of gallstones with an endoscope).

Ganesh Kakarlapudi, M.D.
Dr. Ganesh Kakarlapudi joined Cincinnati GI and Dr. Bhaskar on August 1, 2010. In addition to seeing patients at our Batavia-Mercy Clermont office, he also sees patients in Adams County Regional Medical Center, Seaman, Ohio.
Dr. Kakarlapudi, received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska. He then continued his training at the University of Cincinnati and completed his Internal Medicine residency. He earned his Board Certification in Internal Medicine in 2007. Finally, Dr. Kakarlapudi finished his Gastroenterology Fellowship in 2010 at University of Cincinnati.

Robert M. Kindel, M.D.
Robert M. Kindel, M.D. grew up in Cincinnati and attended Indian Hill High School. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Pennsylvania and received his M.D. from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Bob was a resident in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota Hospital and Clinics. He continued his fellowship there in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition.
Dr. Kindel is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterolgy. Since 1996, Dr. Kindel has served as a staff physician at the Minneapolis Veteran Affairs Medical Center. He joined Cincinnati GI in September, 1999 working out of our western offices. His primary office is in the Norwood Professional Center at 4746 Montgomery Road, Suite 202 in Cincinnati.
He also practices at Mt. Airy Hospital Medical Office Building and Endoscopy Center West at 3654 Werk Road. In his leisure time, you will find Bob on the golf course or with a fishing pole in his hand.

Robert E. Krone, Jr., M.D. received his B.S. in biology cum laude from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1975 and his M.D. from the University of Cincinnati in 1979. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati in 1982 and his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Cincinnati in 1984.
Dr. Krone entered private practice in 1984; his primary office address is 6620 Clough Pike in Anderson Township, and he maintains an additional office in the Norwood Professional Building at 4746 Montgomery Road, Suite 202. He serves on the medical staffs of Anderson Mercy Hospital and Christ Hospital, and he has staff privileges at Bethesda North Hospital, Jewish Hospital, and Clermont Mercy Hospital.

Harold V. Loewenstine, M.D. received his B.A. in psychology from the University of Cincinnati in 1981 (summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa) and his M.D. from the Medical College of Ohio in 1985. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Miami Valley Hospital which is affiliated with Wright State School of Medicine in 1987. Marvin J. Lopez, M.D.
Marvin J. Lopez, M.D. grew up in a medical family in Columbia, MO, and received his B.S. in Biology from Indiana University and his M.D. from Ohio State University. In 1996, he moved to Boston where he completed both his Internal Medicine residency (1999) and his fellowship in Gastroenterology (2002) at Tufts University's New England Medical Center.
A large extended family in the Midwest helped to attract Dr. Lopez to Cincinnati, and he joined Cincinnati GI in August 2002. He maintains his office in Anderson Township at 6620 Clough Pike. Board-certified in Internal Medicine as well as Gastroenterology, Dr. Lopez speaks fluent Spanish.
Although he enjoys all aspects of Gastroenterology and therapeutic endoscopy, Dr. Lopez has special training in endoscopic ultrasound. His family includes Marvin's wife, Patricia, and their two young children, all of whom are busy enjoying Cincinnati's parks and zoo, the Newport Aquarium, and the variety of Cincinnati's restaurants.
